What goes on the table
For an open-book ICC residential exam you need three things: the International Residential Code in the edition you registered for (2024 or 2021), Fast-Tabs cut for that same edition, and a construction calculator. The book matters more than the rest combined: get the edition wrong and everything downstream is wasted.

Exams are written to a specific code edition and ICC currently offers more than one version at once; you choose when you register. Confirm your version in the exam catalog or your MyICC account first, then buy the matching book and tabs.
